Welcome to the Colorado Springs Walking Club

Check out the AVA 50th Anniversary Rocky Mountain Rendezvous being held in Colorado Springs July 28 through August 2, 2026.

The Colorado Springs Walking Club, AVA-0904, is a member club of the American Volkssport Association. We offer multiple Year-Round events in the Colorado Springs area for your walking enjoyment.

The Colorado Springs Walking Club promotes and organizes noncompetitive fitness activities that encourage lifelong fun, fitness and friendship for all ages and abilities.

About CSWC

The Colorado Springs Walking Club has been sponsoring and supporting non-competitive walking events since 2004. "Volksmarching" (people's walk) is the most common type of event and usually consists of a marked or guided 10 kilometer (6.2 mile) or 5 kilometer (3.1 mile) route. Each participant is encouraged to walk at a pace that is comfortable and enjoyable. Our walks have been chosen for their natural beauty, scenic interest, historical value and safety. The trails are well marked or maps are provided.

Trails may be in cities, towns, parks, forests, or anywhere there is a pleasant or interesting area to walk. Walks may be on city streets, in quaint little towns, through state parks, rugged forests, or any place with interesting scenery. Shorter routes are often available for those who desire. Events are always non-competitive, so you can participate at your own pace.

The Colorado Springs Walking Club is a member club of the American Volkssport Association and the International Federation of Popular Sports (IVV).
