Rails-To-Trails Special Program Rules

Program runs January 1, 2022 - December 31, 2025. Redeem completed books by Dec. 31, 2026. Any sanctioned YRE, seasonal, or traditional event that walks/bikes on a portion of a Rails-to-Trails identified trail at (https://AVAClubs.org/CSWC/RTT/) qualifies. One stamp per event per year except for "Guided Trail" events which use the same stamp – in this case the sanction number identifies a unique event. Special Program Booklet contains room for 16 stamps. When complete scan and send image to the Special Program Sponsor. Insure your address is clear to receive your special 3" x 4" completion patch. To purchase a Special Program Booklet, send check for $12 made out to Colorado Springs Walking Club; 3524 N Cascade Ave Lot 58; Colorado Springs, CO 80907.

Guidelines for Trailmasters

RTT

We have had questions about the actual qualifiers for this Special Program. The Trailmaster Guidelines document walks our Trailmasters through the process to determine if a section of trail they are getting ready to walk on meets the criteria. For any additional questions, contact the Special Program Sponsor .

The Rails to Trails Conservancy also supports the US Department of Transportation program to create trails that are adjacent to active rail lines. These are known as 'Rail with Trails', and are documented by the conservancy in the document, Rail with Trail List. Search the document by state. If your trail is listed it counts. Click on the trail name, and if you are registered on the RTC site you will be able to see the trail map to confirm you are looking at the correct trail for your event.
